Since 1987 Public Enemy has put out 13 albums. I'd say that's about 9 more than any average PE fan has heard of since the majority of us stopped buying the albums after Apocalypse 91.
Not taking away from them at all. I guess as fans we had gotten all we could out of them. Hip hop took a big turn in another direction that brought us a lot of gun play, drug dealing and bottle popping which was exactly what Public Enemy was not about. PE have still been putting out albums the whole time with the last one coming out in 2007. These albums are no where near the first 4 as far as that Bomb Squad sound that we all grew up on and love. However, each one has 1 or 2 tracks that just bring you back to 1990 but all the while staying relevant. 100% pure authentic Public Enemy. Here is a banger off their 2002 release "Revolverlution".
